Rochester Assigns Goaltender Brian Foster to Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that goaltender Brian Foster has been assigned by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Foster, a 2005 fifth-round draft choice of the Florida Panthers joins the Cyclones after starting his professional career with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in the Central Hockey League.  This season with the Mudbugs, the Pembroke, New Hampshire native has earned a 9-9-1 record with a 3.20 goals-against average and an 88.4 save percentage.

Prior to going pro, he was a four-year letter-winner at the University of New Hampshire where posted a career 40-29-13 record with a 2.82 goals-against average in 86 career games.  Foster was one of just four seniors on last year’s UNH team that captured Hockey East's regular season championship.  He was named First Team Hockey East and Second Team East All-American in his senior season after stopping a career-high 1128 saves in 38 games played.
