THIS PAST WEEK:

About Saturday Night in Wheeling: Rookie goaltender Zoltan Hetenyi turned aside all 31 shots he faced as he backstopped the Cyclones to a 2-0 shutout win over the Nailers in front of 3,158 at WesBanco Arena. It was the first professional blanking for Hetenyi and the first time this year the Cyclones held their opponents off the scoreboard.

About Friday Night in Toledo: The Cyclones jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back as they earned a 4-2 win over the Walleye in front of 6,214 at Huntington Center. David Pacan, Mathieu Aubin, and Garrett Wilson each had multi-point games for Cincinnati, who regained the top spot in the North Division standings.

About Wednesday Night vs. Toledo: The Walleye scored four goals in the first two periods and knocked off the Cyclones by a 4-2 final score in front of 4,855 at U.S. Bank Arena. The victory was the third straight for the Walleye and gave them the top spot in the North Division standings.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT:

Nothing But the North: The Cyclones will open a three game week on Wednesday night with crucial North Division points on the line. Jarrod Skalde’s team will host the Evansville IceMen for back-to-back games on Wednesday and Friday before reuniting with the Toledo Walleye on Saturday night at Huntington Center.

Closing in on 100: When he registers his next assist, Cyclones forward Mike Pelech will have earned 100 "helpers" in his professional career. He added another assist on Saturday in Wheeling (on the game-winning goal) to extend his point-scoring streak to four games.

Where There's a "Willie," There's a Way: Cyclones forward Garrett Wilson capped off a tremendous week with back-to-back multi-point games. He scored both goals on Saturday's 2-0 win over Wheeling while adding a goal and an assist on Friday night in Toledo. Wilson's efforts earned him an ECHL Player of the Week nomination.

The Rule of Three: Cincinnati has been deadly when holding their opponents to three goals or less this season. In such situations, they are a staggering 8-0-2.

Coors Light Jarrod Skalde Show TONIGHT: Join Head Coach Jarrod Skalde and Voice of the Cyclones Nick Brunker at Tap House Grill in Kenwood from 7-8pm as they chat about this past week of hockey and look ahead to the trio of games ahead. In addition, Cyclones goaltender Zoltan Hetenyi and forward Josh Birkholz will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures!
