Cyclones Unveil 2014-15 Schedule

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today their 2014-15 schedule.  

For the first time since the 2011-12 campaign, the Cyclones will open the season on the road. On Saturday, October 18, they’ll travel up I-75 to meet the Toledo Walleye at 7:15pm. Cincinnati will host the 2014-15 First Face-Off at U.S. Bank Arena the following Saturday, October 25, when the Kalamazoo Wings invade the Tri-State.

Ben Simon’s club will battle each of the 13 Eastern Conference teams at least once throughout the course of the regular season. Cincinnati’s most frequent foe will be the Evansville IceMen, whom they will meet a total of 11 times. The newest ECHL team, the Indianapolis Fuel, will battle the Cyclones on nine occasions – including three meetings at U.S. Bank Arena. The 2014-15 schedule also features one regular season match-up with a Western Conference team; the Utah Grizzlies will visit Downtown Cincinnati on Wednesday, December 3.

The daily breakdown of games is as follows:

Mondays: 1 game (0 home, 1 away)
Tuesdays: 5 games (4 home, 1 away)
Wednesdays: 12 games (9 home, 3 away)
Thursdays: 3 games (1 home, 2 away)
Fridays: 23 games (10 home, 13 away)
Saturdays: 23 games (11 home, 12 away)
Sundays: 5 games (1 home, 4 away)

The 2014 Education in Hockey Day will be played on Tuesday, November 18, when the Cyclones welcome in the Orlando Solar Bears for the special 10:30am opening face-off. For the second consecutive season, the Cyclones will host a Sunday matinee game as well; on February 15, the Toledo Walleye will come to town for a 4:05pm puck drop.

All other home contests are scheduled to begin at 7:30pm with doors opening one-hour prior. The full schedule is available now at CyclonesHockey.com. A promotional calendar will be announced at a later date.

The countdown to the 2014-15 First Face-Off can officially begin! The Cyclones will return for another season of hockey at U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday, October 25 when they play host to the Kalamazoo Wings at 7:30pm.
