Nick Brunker Departure

Nick Brunker Departure

The Cincinnati Cyclones announced today that after five seasons with the club, Director of Broadcasting, Public Relations, and Digital Meida, Nick Brunker, is moving on to a career outside of the sports realm in the local private sector.

During Nick’s time with the team he has strengthened the team’s broadcast, captivating fans with his play-by-play call and providing unique insight into the team. Nick also proved to be a major asset as an extension of the team’s marketing department. Nick’s innate ability to create social content and extend the Cyclones brand into everyday digital conversations was unmatched. His work in creating and editing video pieces for the Cyclones digital efforts and in-game presentation were well received by fans, but with many not realizing that Nick was the originator.

“Working for the Cincinnati Cyclones has been a life-long dream accomplished,” said Brunker. “I want to offer sincere thanks to Ray Harris, Kristin Ropp, and the entire Cincinnati Cyclones organization for the remarkable class in which they operate.  They treat their staff like family which is why anytime someone chooses to leave - it’s always after great pause and reflection.  The fans of this city are the absolute best in the ECHL and I look forward to seeing many of them at games this season as I move on to the next phase of my career.  It has been a true honor.”

While the task of replacing Brunker will not be an easy one, the search will begin immediately.

“Even before Nick officially came on board, he showed endless passion for the Cyclones and a work ethic that is second to none,” said Cyclones Vice President and General Manager Kristin Ropp.  “While his professional goals were based in broadcasting he embraced his role within the marketing department and exceeded any expectations had for this position.  Nick will quickly become an asset to his new employer and I wish him the very best.  I also expect him to become a new Season Ticket Holder for the Cyclones!”
