Former Cyclone Makes NHL Debut

Cincinnati, OH- Former Cincinnati Cyclones forward Frederick Gaudreau made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut on Saturday night with the Nashville Predators; Cincinnati’s NHL affiliate. Gaudreau accounted for three blocked shots and a 33% face-off percentage in 9:01 of ice time in Nashville’s 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

“We are extremely happy to see the success Frederick has had in the past couple of years and his progression to the NHL,” commented Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald. “He was a very dynamic player while in the ECHL, and he showed his elite abilities along with his high-end character. This is a big step for Frederick, and we look forward to watching him in the NHL.”

A native of Granby, QC, Gaudreau appeared in 14 games with the Cyclones during the 2014-15 season, totaling five goals and two assists in that time.
