CYCLONES EDGED IN INDY DESPITE TWO-GOAL COMEBACK

Fuel Hold Off Cincinnati Push Late in the Third

Indianapolis, IN- The Cincinnati Cyclones (21-15-1-0) fell to the Indy Fuel, 3-2, on Saturday evening. Forwards Daniel Muzito-Bagenda and Justin Vaive lit the lamp for the Cyclones.

The Fuel wasted little time finding the back of the net in this one, getting a pair of early goals from forward Garrett Clarke and defenseman Robin Press.

Cincinnati cut their deficit in half at the midway point of the frame, when forward Rob De Fulviis sent a pass from the right corner to Muzito-Bagenda in the slot, and he snapped a shot over the glove of Indy netminder ET Marcoux to pull Cincinnati to within a goal, 2-1.

That 2-1 score held up throughout the remainder of the first, and in the second Cincinnati netted the equalizer late in the frame when Muzito-Bagenda won a faceoff back to Vaive, and he launched a shot from the right side that beat Marcoux to tie the game, 2-2, after 40 minutes.

The third saw the teams exchange quality scoring chance after quality scoring chance, however a goal from forward Michael Neal midway through the frame proved to be the game winner, and the Fuel held on for a 3-2 win.

Cincinnati and Indy each registered 30 shots on goal, while goaltender Jason Kasdorf stopped 27 in a losing effort. The Cyclones wrap up their three-game weekend on Sunday afternoon in Moline against the Quad City Mallards, Face-off is scheduled for 5:05pm ET.
