ROCHESTER RECALLS JOHANSSON

Netminder has Won Five of Last Seven Starts

 

Cincinnati, OH- The Rochester Americans, American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Cyclones have recalled goaltender Jonas Johansson to Rochester.

A native of Galve, SWE, Johansson has a 14-11-1-0 record along with a 3.13 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. He is coming off a five-game winning streak from February 18-March 4 where he had a 1.95 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage over that span, and he has allowed three or fewer goals in four of his last six games.

Johansson made his North American debut last season with the Americans, appearing in seven games and posting a 3-3-1 record along with a 2.85 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage in that span.

The 22-year old had spent the previous four seasons in his native Sweden, suiting up for Byrnas IF Gavle and Almtuna IS.
