Tonight's Matchup: The Cyclones will look for a bit of revenge tonight as they close out their pre-Christmas tussle with the Elmira Jackals at U.S. Bank Arena. The Jackals broke a 2-2 deadlock in the third period last night to claim victory in the season series opener, running Cincinnati’s all-time record to 23-17-1-3 against their Big Apple State foes.

Tonight's Promotion: Ugly Sweater Party - The Cyclones will wear specialty "ugly sweater" jerseys that will get auctioned off after the game to benefit AFTA!

Scouting the Jackals: Jamie Russell’s club picked up two points last night in the East Division standings to keep pace with Florida and Greenville, both of whom also won last night. Forward Matt Tassone and rookie defenseman Steven Shamanski each earned points last night to remain tied for the team lead in points, with 19 apiece. Goaltender Travis Fullerton turned aside 34 of 36 shots against Cincinnati to earn his ninth win of the season - he’s now 9-3-0-2 with a 2.66 goals-against average. Fellow net minder Sam Marotta has also seen ample action this season, going 6-6-0-1 with a 2.53 GAA.

Last Time Out: An early third period goal by Brodie Reid broke a 2-2 tie and turned out to be the game winner as the Jackals defeated the Cyclones by a 3-2 final score in front of 3,054 at U.S. Bank Arena. Stephan Vigier notched his second multi-goal game of the season with a pair of goals.

Stifle ‘Em Early: The Cyclones have been extremely strong when jumping out in front early. They are 6-2 when scoring the game’s first goal and a perfect 5-0 when notching the first two goals of the game. More impressively, in tilts where they do not trail after 20 minutes, they are 9-1-0-2.

Get Him the Puck: Rookie forward Stephan Vigier continues to impress in his first full year as a pro. With another two goal game last night, the Northern Michigan University alum ranks third on the club’s active point-scoring list (12). The ‘Clones are 6-1 in games where he lights the lamp.
