KNODEL ADDED TO HARDEST SHOT COMPETITION

Blueliner To Play and Showcase Skills in Midseason Exhibition

 

Cincinnati, OH-  The ECHL has announced that Cincinnati Cyclones defenseman Eric Knodel has been added to the Hardest Shot Competition that will take place at Wednesday’s CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic, presented by I LOVE NY.

The 2017 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic, presented by I LOVE NY, will feature the host Adirondack Thunder taking on the ECHL All-Stars in a non-traditional format featuring 5-on-5 for 25 minutes, followed by a Skills Competition which will include Puck Relay, Hardest Shot, and Fastest Skater competitions. Following the Skills Competition, the two teams will see five more minutes of 5-on-5 play, followed by 10 minutes of 4-on-4 action, and the evening will conclude with a five minute, 3-on-3 format.

Knodel leads all Cyclones defenseman in scoring with four goals and 12 assists through 36 games this season, and he is tied for the team lead with a plus-10 on-ice rating. The 2017 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic will also air LIVE exclusively on NHL Network, starting at 8:00pm ET.
