CYCLONES ANNOUNCE TRAINING CAMP ROSTER, ACQUIRE BLOCK
Cincinnati Opened 2017 Training Camp this Morning
Cincinnati, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud ECHL affiliate of the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Rochester Americans and the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Buffalo Sabres, have announced their 2017 Training Camp roster. This year’s roster is made up of 29 players, including 14 forwards, 11 defensemen, and four goaltenders.
The Cyclones training camp roster is as follows:
Forwards (14): Mike Barrett, Justin Danforth, Winston Day Chief, Rob De Fulviis, Dylan Denomme, Shane Heffernan*, Alex Kile, Brandon McNally, Dylan Nowakowski, Stephen Pietrobon*, Andrew Radjenovic, Jesse Schultz, Shane Walsh, Dominic Zombo
Defensemen (11): Arvin Atwal, Anthony Florentino, Matt Geurts*, Jordan Henderson, Eric Knodel, Chris Leone, Brycen Martin, Cory Melkert*, Spencer Metcalfe*, Nick Neville*, Devante Stephens
Goaltenders (4): Jonas Johansson, Davis Jones, Jason Kasdorf, Anthony Peters

The Cyclones will skate in the first of two preseason games against the Wheeling Nailers on Friday night at 7:00pm.
In a separate transaction, Cincinnati has acquired centerman Austin Block from the Orlando Solar Bears, in exchange for future considerations. Block has spent the last two seasons in Orlando, accounting for 14 goals and 28 assists in 74 games. His best season came in 2016-17 where he totaled 12 goals and 23 assists along with a plus-14 on-ice rating in 51 games played.
Prior to his time in Orlando, the Denver, CO, native appeared 54 games between the Bakersfield Condors and Manchester Monarchs from 2014-16, recording five goals and 15 assists in that time. He also spent time overseas in Finland, Sweden, and Slovakia from 2013-15.
He played collegiately at the University of New Hampshire from 2009-13, totaling 50 points (25g, 25a) in 136 games played. He was also teammates with current Cyclones defenseman Eric Knodel during his final three years with the Wildcats.
