Wiener Dog Race Contestants

Once you register your wiener dog with a Cincinnati Cyclones sales representative, you’ll receive all the details and instructions you need for race day via email.

To register your wiener dog, please call our sales staff at 513-421-7825.

Here’s a quick, easy rundown of the rules: All participating dogs must be purebred dachshunds (miniature or standard); dachshund mix breeds are not eligible. Each dog must have exactly two people on the ice—one at the starting line (goal line) and one at the finish line (near the blue line). Dogs that are not registered or do not have two accompanying people will not be allowed on the ice or to participate. Each racer may use one toy or treat to encourage their pup to cross the finish line.

The grand prize is an 18-person suite, redeemable for any 2026–2027 Cincinnati Cyclones regular-season home game.

We can’t wait to showcase your pups—please provide the owner’s name, dog’s name, and a photo of your dog when registering.

The Cincinnati Cyclones and the Cincinnati VA Medical Center are looking to recognize a current or veteran military member at select home games of the 2025-2026 season. One military member will be chosen to be the guest of Cyclones Assistant Coach Louie Caporusso and will be recognized on the ice before the game.
