CINCINNATI, Ohio – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that defenseman Carl Hudson has been assigned by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Hudson, a Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario native, is in the midst of his rookie season after a four-year career at Canisius College. In 35 games with the Griffins last season, the six-foot-one inch blue-liner led all team defenseman in points (34) and penalty-minutes (120). He found himself among the top 5 in team PIMS during each of his four collegiate campaigns.
Upon completion of his senior year at Canisius last spring, Hudson appeared with the Rochester Americans in seven regular season games and five Calder Cup Playoff games, collecting one assist and 28 PIMS.
He will be on the ice this Friday when the Cyclones battle the Toledo Walleye at 7:00pm from the Huntington Center.
The defending Kelly Cup Champion Cyclones open their home schedule this Saturday night, October 30 at U.S. Bank Arena against the Wheeling Nailers.
