Brian O'Hanley Returns to Cyclones

DULUTH, Georgia – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that defenseman Brian O’Hanley has been returned to the Cyclones from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

During his latest AHL call-up, O’Hanley collected a pair of assists, eight penalty minutes, and a +5 plus/minus rating in 16 games with the Portland Pirates – the Buffalo Sabres top minor-league affiliate.  The skilled, third-year rear guard earned 26 points (6 goals, 20 assists) and 51 penalty minutes with the Cyclones this year before being summoned to the AHL.  Despite not playing in the ECHL for more than a month, O’Hanley still ranks tied for 10th among all of the league’s defensemen in scoring.  In late January, the 24-year-old Quincy, Massachusetts native represented the Cyclones at the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic in Bakersfield, California.

O’Hanley will be in the lineup tonight as the Cyclones battle the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05pm.  Fans can hear all the action on the Cyclones Radio Network starting at 6:50pm.

The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena on Friday, March 25 when they host the Toledo Walleye at 7:30pm.  It will be the final Kids Eat Free Night of the season, as all fans ages 2-12 will receive a FREE meal courtesy of John Morrell, Sunkist, and Sun Drop.  2010-11 single game and discounted group tickets are available now.  2011-12 season tickets are on sale NOW!  For more information, call 513.421.PUCK (7825) or visit CyclonesHockey.com.
