Cyclones 2010-11 Most Valuable Player: Dustin Sproat

After the Cyclones Nation Vote...your 2010-11 Most Valuable Player is Dustin Sproat.  Goaltender Brian Foster was runner-up for the award.

Sproat joined the 2010-11 Cyclones in mid-November after starting the year overseas with the Nottingham Panthers.  However, once he made his return to the Queen City, it didn't take him long to pick up where he left off a season ago.  He quickly shot up the 'Clones team scoring list and finished with 42 points in just 56 games....good for fourth on the team.

Here are some of Sproat's season highlights:

  • Registered at least a point in 17 of last 28 games.
  • 4 GWG this year - on 12/5 vs TOL, 1/29 vs. SC, 2/11 vs. FLA, 3/13 at SC (T-1st on team).
  • Assisted on GWG at FLA on 1/5 and on 1/22 vs. KAL.
  • Has 9 multi-point games this season...leads CIN with three 2-goal games.
  • Had 3 point night on 11/26 at Reading, 1/15 at Wheeling.
  • Scored game-tying goal on 11/13 vs. Gwinnett.... had GTG on 2/25 vs. GRN.
  • Started year playing with Nottingham Panthers overseas.... Played first game this season on 11/12 at Toledo.
