READING, Pennsylvania – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that defenseman Adam Comrie has been reassigned to the club from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Comrie, a 2008 Florida Panthers third-round draft choice, returns to the Cyclones for the third time this season. In 13 games with Cincinnati this year, the 20-year-old Asburn, Virginia native earned nine points (4 goals, 5 assists) and 16 penalty minutes. Prior to his latest call up on February 2, he had scored a goal in four of his previous six games in a Cyclones jersey. Collectively at the Triple-A level this year, the rookie rear guard logged 41 games with the Americans and posted five assists with 14 penalty minutes.
The Cyclones, who earned this year’s seventh-seed, will open up the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Reading Royals in a best-of-five series beginning TONIGHT in Reading, Pennsylvania. The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena this Friday, April 8 when they host the Royals in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals at 7:30pm. Friday’s contest will also feature $1 Donatos Pizza slices.
