About Saturday in Kalamazoo: Despite four unanswered goals by the Cyclones in the third period, the Wings (were able to squeak out a 6-5 victory in front of 3,422 at Wings Stadium. Cincinnati posted a season high 46 shots on net tonight, which was the most they have earned since March 3, 2011 when they had 43 against the Toledo Walleye. The Cyclones finished a perfect 4 for 4 on the penalty kill and 4 of 10 on the power play – which was the most man-advantage goals scored in a single game since January 14, 2009 against Wheeling. Adam Comrie had a three-point night despite the loss and now has points in three-straight games.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT:


Shots, Shots, Shots: Through the first four games of the season, Cincinnati has outshot its opponents by a combined total of 146-124. The Cyclones average of 36.5 shots per-game ranks second in all of the ECHL. In fact, the have posted at least 35 shots in their last three games.

 

Finally Coming Home: This Saturday night, Cincinnati will kick off its 36-game home slate against the Express. In addition to $1 John Morrell Hot Dogs, Donatos Pizza, and soda, the first 7,500 fans through the gateswill receive a 2011-12 schedule magnet courtesy of Hometown Sports and Collectibles.

 

Roster Shuffle: This week, the Cyclones have seen a bunch of player moves. On Monday, Joe Devin, Keith Seabrook, and Garrett Wilson were called up to the San Antonio Rampage while Milwaukee recalled forward Ben Ryan. In addition, Cincinnati was assigned rookie forward Joel Champagne from the Admirals.
