Four Cyclones Headed to the AHL

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that Joe Devin, Keith Seabrook, and Garrett Wilson have been recalled by the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. In addition, forward Ben Ryan has been recalled to the Milwaukee Admirals in exchange for Joel Champagne.

Champagne, a rookie from LaSalle, Quebec, has logged seven games with the Admirals in his first pro season but has yet to register a point. A 2008 fifth-round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Champagne spent the last five years in the QMJHL with four different teams. Collectively as a junior player, he posted 284 points in 317 career games and is coming off of his best season yet – when he earned 82 points (24 goals, 58 assists) in 68 games.

Wilson, a 2009 fourth-round pick of the Florida Panthers, has been one of Cincinnati’s best players to start the year; he is tied for the team lead in multi-point games (2) and ranks second on the team in overall scoring (5 points).

Seabrook will be back with the Rampage for the second time this season. Last weekend he played in one game for Chuck Weber’s team but did not register a point. Thus far with the Cyclones, the third year pro has one assist in four games.

Devin will be making his AHL debut this weekend with San Antonio after collecting a goal and an assist in his first four games as a pro with Cincinnati. His goal, which turned out to be the game winner, came on October 23 against the Trenton Titans.

Ryan started this season in the AHL with Milwaukee and earned an assist in a pair of games. With the Cyclones, the former Notre Dame Fighting Irish forward posted a pair of goals and an assist in three contests.

Cincinnati will conclude its five-game season opening road trip this Friday night, October 4, when they visit the Chicago Express at 8:30pm ET. Pregame coverage from the Sears Center gets underway on the Cyclones Radio Network (1050-AM, America One) at 8:15pm ET.
