Wacey Rabbit Headed Back to San Antonio

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that forward Wacey Rabbit has been recalled by the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old Lethbridge, Alberta native has registered four assists and has tallied a point in each of his first three games with the Cyclones. Since returning to ECHL play in 2006, only five other players have accomplished that feat: Dylan Hunter, Joey Ryan, Kyle Rank, Jean-Michel Dauost, and Torry Gajda.

Rabbit saw a pair of games with the Rampage earlier this season, but did not register a point in his two-day call-up earlier this month. Collectively, he has amassed 81 points (34 goals, 47 assists) in 240 career AHL games. He will be on the ice with San Antonio this weekend as they host Houston and Charlotte on back-to-back nights beginning Friday at 8:00pm ET.

The Cyclones, meanwhile, are on the ice this Saturday when they visit the Kalamazoo Wings for the second time in three weeks. The opening faceoff from Wings Stadium is set for 7:30pm with pre-game coverage on the Cyclones Radio Network (1050-AM, America One) beginning at 7:15pm.

The countdown to the 2011-12 home opener is almost complete! Secure your seats for Saturday, November 5 when the Cyclones welcome the Chicago Express to U.S. Bank Arena for the first time at 7:30pm. Opening Night will feature $1 John Morrell Hot Dogs, Donatos Pizza, and soda. In addition, the first 7,500 fans through the gates will receive a 2011-12 Schedule Magnet courtesy of Hometown Sports and Collectibles.
