THIS PAST WEEK:

About Sunday Afternoon in Toledo: The Walleye scored five times in the final two periods to defeat the Cyclones by a 6-3 final in front of 3,859 at Huntington Center. Rob Slaney had two goals while Anthony Luciani registered a goal and an assist in the defeat.

About Saturday Night in Chicago: Blair Riley broke a 1-1 tie just 41 seconds into the third period as the Express improved to 4-0 against the Cyclones this season by claiming a 2-1 win in front of 2.640 at Sears Centre on. Garrett Wilson scored a goal for the second straight night in a losing effort. Cincinnati held its opponent to its lowest shot-output of the season, with Chicago only registering 12 shots on net all night.

About Friday Night vs. Reading: The Cyclones erased a two-goal deficit in the third period to force overtime before Chet Pickard stopped all four Royals shooters in the shootout, as the Cyclones prevailed 3-2 in front of 4,243 at U.S. Bank Arena on Friday night. Garrett Wilson sealed the victory for Cincinnati, which was its third straight, when he buried a goal in round five of the shootout.

About Tuesday Morning vs. Toledo: Joel Champagne’s goal in the third period turned out to be the game-winner as the Cyclone blew past the Walleye by a 4-2 score in front of 5,257 at U.S. Bank Arena for Education in Hockey Day on Tuesday morning. Cincinnati improved to 3-1-1 in Education in Hockey Day Games at U.S. Bank Arena.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT:

Thanksgiving Week: Cincinnati will play just two games in a holiday-shortened week beginning Wednesday night at U.S. Bank Arena against the Kalamazoo Wings. It will be the first time that the Wings invade downtown Cincinnati this season. Then, after Thanksgiving, the Clones will return to Toledo for another division battle with the Walleye on Friday night.

Multi-Point Magicians: The Cyclones have had seven different players register multi-point games this season. Yesterday afternoon in Toledo, Anthony Luciani registered a goal and an assist for his team-leading third multi-point game of the year. In fact, five of those seven players have had two such games.

Another Record Set: On Saturday in Chicago, Cincinnati did something that no other Cyclones team has ever done; they held the Express to five shots or less in each of the three periods. They allowed only three shots in the first period, four in the second period, and five in the third period for a season-low game total of 12.

Stuck on 99: When Cyclones defenseman David Leaderer tallies his next goal OR assist, he will eclipse the 100-point plateau for his professional career. He currently sits at 99 points in 230 games.

Coors Light Jarrod Skalde Show TONIGHT: Join Head Coach Jarrod Skalde and Voice of the Cyclones Nick Brunker at Gameworks in Newport on the Levee every Monday from 7-8pm!
