THIS PAST WEEK:
About Saturday Night in Elmira: Artem Demkov potted the game winning goal just 39 seconds into overtime as the Jackals snuck past the Cyclones by a 3-2 final score in front of 2,514 at First Arena. Despite the loss, David Pacan’s goal late in the third period pushed the game into overtime and gave Cincinnati a three-point road trip.
About Friday Night in Elmira: Jonathan Hazen’s first goal of the season broke a 2-2 tie in the third period and lifted the Cyclones to a 3-2 win over the Jackals in front of 2,622 at First Arena. Charles-Olivier Roussel enjoyed his first career multi-point game with a pair of assists while Brian Foster turned aside 24 shots to earn his third victory of the season.
SHOTS FROM THE POINT:
“Spooktacular Week Ahead: After taking three out of a possible four points in Elmira this past weekend, Cincinnati opens a three-game week starting Wednesday night against Kalamazoo. The Clones host them on Halloween Night at U.S. Bank Arena before returning the favor with a visit to Wings Stadium on Friday night. Then, on Saturday, Cincinnati welcomes in the Wheeling Nailers to 100 Broadway for a 7:30pm face-off on a Kids Jersey T-Shirt Night!
Remarkable Rookie: Cincinnati forward David Pacan has impressed in the early going this year. In his first five professional games, he has collected six points (2 goals, 4 assists) which ties him for fifth among the ECHL’s first-year players and leads the Cyclones.
Strong Finishers: Cincinnati has already asserted itself as a strong third period team this season. They came from behind in both games this past weekend, and now have outscored their opponents 6-2 in the final frame of regulation.
Coors Light Jarrod Skalde Show TONIGHT: In addition to the Head Coach Jarrod Skalde, we will visit with Cyclones defensemen Chris Reed and Charles-Olivier Roussel!
