THIS PAST WEEK:

About Sunday Evening in Toledo: Cyclones rookie Charles-Olivier Roussel earned his first professional game winning goal just 90 seconds into overtime as the Cyclones prevailed over the Walleye by a 2-1 final score in front of 6,522 at Huntington Center. With the victory, Cincinnati extended their lead over Toledo in the North Division standings to seven points.

About Saturday Night vs. Wheeling: The Cyclones extended their lead in the North Division standings with a 3-1 victory over the Nailers in front of 7,964 at U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday night. Mathieu Aubin, Dan Eves, and Jack MacLellan all scored for Cincinnati, who sealed a perfect 5-0 record against Wheeling in the season series.

About Friday Night in Fort Wayne: The Cyclones came up with some timely penalty killing and preserved a 3-1 win over the Komets in front of 7,678 at Memorial Coliseum. The victory was also the 100th for Head Coach Jarrod Skalde behind the Cincinnati bench. Josh Shalla earned his team-leading sixth game-winning goal of the year.

About Monday Afternoon vs. Kalamazoo: The Cyclones season-long winning streak was snapped at five by the Wings by a final score of 4-1 in front of 2,504 at U.S. Bank Arena. Taylor Ellington scored the lone goal for Cincinnati while Brian Foster made 19 saves in the defeat.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT:

Stretch Time: After a thrilling conclusion to a perfect weekend, the Cyclones will get right back to action tomorrow when they welcome in the Trenton Titans for the final time on a Big Beer Tuesday. Then they’ll play three straight North Division games this weekend; on Friday, Cincinnati visits Kalamazoo for the final time this season followed by a Saturday match-up between the same two teams at U.S. Bank Arena. Finally, on Sunday, the Clones will visit the Evansville IceMen in a rare Sunday night tilt.

Reed Is A Rock: Chris Reed remains a stable force on the Cyclones blue line. The Former Buckeye ranks fifth in the ECHL with a +18 rating. He's also contributed with a career high 12 points (1 goal, 11 assists).

The Killing Continues: The Cincinnati penalty kill unit continues to shine. After a 3-for-4 showing on Sunday, the Cyclones are up to 6th in the ECHL with an 84.1% efficiency rate.

Sharing the Limelight: The Cyclones have had 20 different players register a game-winning goal this season. Josh Shalla leads the team and ranks third in the ECHL with six such tallies.

In Good Hands with "House": Michael Houser was a busy man this past weekend, turning aside 81 of the 84 shots he faced. It's the second time this year he's strung three straight wins together. With his performance, he earned a nomination for ECHL Goalie of the Week.

Coors Light Jarrod Skalde Show TONIGHT: Join us from 7-8pm at the Tap House Grill for another week of hockey conversation with Cyclones Head Coach Jarrod Skalde and Voice of the Cyclones Nick Brunker. Enjoy great food and Coors Light beer specials as we chat about what's coming up in Puckopolis! Plus, Jack MacLellan and Davide Nicoletti will stop by to visit and sign autographs as well.
