TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The Cyclones are back home tonight in hopes of repeating history as they face the Kalamazoo Wings for the second time in 48 hours. Cincinnati extended its season series record to 4-2-1 with the Wings; all but one of the match-ups have been decided by a single goal. Since 2006, the Clones have accumulated a 25-20-3-3 mark against their Mitten State foes.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: Puckchop Bobblehead Night presented by The Plastic Surgery Group: The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a bobblehead of Puckchop (from the Big Pig Gig) courtesy of The Plastic Surgery Group!

SCOUTING THE WINGS: With a loss last night on home ice, Nick Bootland’s club slipped to 17 points back of Cincinnati in the North Division standings but remain only five points out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. Aaron Clarke sits atop the Wings scoring list, despite being held scoreless last night, posting 46 points (17 goals, 29 assists) in 57 games. Brett Lysak, who ranks second on the team in tallies, has been the biggest weapon against the Clones this season; in six match-ups, Lysak has notched 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists). Joel Martin suffered his 21st loss of the season despite making 39 save a night ago. This year, the veteran backstop has earned an 25-21-4-1 record with a 2.63 goals-against average. Versus Cincinnati this year, Martin has gone 3-3-0-1 with a 2.70 GAA.

In For the Kill: After a five-for-six showing last night in Kalamazoo, the Cyclones have risen to the seventh-best unit in the ECHL (83.8%). In fact, their 88.7 home PK efficiency rate is atop in the entire league. They’ve successfully extinguished 39 of their last 45 power plays against.

Book Ending: While the Clones have been able to jump out to early leads a ton this year, they’re playing their best offensively in the third period. They have scored the fifth most final stanza goals (70) of any team in the ECHL. They’re outscoring opponents 70-51 in the third.
