Tonight's Matchup: After earning two important points last night with a win over Indy, the Clones will round out their 36-game home slate tonight with an equally large game against the Evansville IceMen. The Clones have dominated their Hoosier State foes during this lengthy season series, winning all but one game and outscoring them by a combined 38-17 margin.

Scouting the IceMen: Al Sims’ club shocked the ECHL world last night in Wheeling by thumping the Nailers 6-1 as their season winds down. With Braden Pimm still on the shelf, Robin Soudek remains Evansville’s leading scorer with 38 points (18g, 20a) in 58 games this season. So far in the season series with Cincinnati, he’s posted a pair of goals and a pair of assists. Jarret Luken has been a regular point-getter as well, amassing 38 tallies (12g, 26a) in 56 contests. Former Cyclone Branden Komm has taken the reigns for the IceMen in the final months; overall this season, the rookie backstop has gone 4-9-1-1 with a 3.33 goals-against average. University of Vermont alum Alex Vazzano has joined the goaltending fold as well after completing his final collegiate season, earning an 0-3 record thus far with a 4.19 GAA.
Last Time Out: A three-point night from David Pacan and a strong defensive effort led the Cincinnati Cyclones (30-29-2-7) over the Indy Fuel (27-30-4-6) by a 4-2 final score in front of 4,501 at U.S. Bank Arena last night. It was Pacan's first multi-goal game of the year as Cincinnati took over the fourth and final playoff spot with four games remaining.
Still Stifling Shots: As the regular season winds down, the Clones are still one of the stingiest teams in terms of shots-allowed. They rank third in the ECHL with 27.6 shots-allowed per game. In fact, South Carolina is the only better Eastern Conference team in this category.
Goin’ Streaking: A couple of Cincinnati players have found their stride of late. Jack Combs has registered points in five consecutive games while defenseman MacKenzie Weegar has collected assists in five of his last seven.
