Cyclones Announce Everett Fitzhugh as Director of Public Relations & Broadcasting

The Cincinnati Cyclones are excited to announce the addition of Everett Fitzhugh as Director of Public Relations & Broadcasting. He comes to Cincinnati fresh off of a successful season with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL.

The Michigan native got his start behind the mic calling over 120 hockey games for the Bowling Green State University Falcons. His time with the Falcons saw him start as the color analyst before growing into the play-by-play role. Upon graduation from BGSU, Everett moved on to accept the Manager of Communications & Director of Social Media position with the United States Hockey League in Chicago. There he excelled in providing league communications and content while heading the league's efforts with several notable events such as the USHL Draft and Top Prospects Game. From there Everett moved back to his roots and behind the mic for the Youngstown Phantoms. His responsibilities with Youngstown included game day broadcasts, media relations, social and web content, video features, and community outreach.

"We are thrilled to welcome Everett to the Cyclones staff," said Cyclones General Manager Kristin Ropp. "While fans will love him as the new voice of the Cyclones, it was his vision for community involvement, social media and web content, and fan outreach that really stood out. Everett brings a lot of fresh ideas and will head several new initiatives that fans will be excited about. "

The 2011 Bowling Green State University graduate will join the Cyclones in the coming weeks and will be a part of each of the Concrete Clones stops this summer.

"I am thrilled and honored to join the Cyclones organization," said Fitzhugh. "Working in pro hockey has always been a dream of mine, and I can't think of a better place than Cincinnati to take that next step in my career. I'd like to thank the USHL and Youngstown Phantoms for all they have done for me over the last two and a half years. Without them, this would not be possible. I look forward to getting to know the Cyclones fans and becoming a contributor to the Cyclones front office."
