Easing into the Season: The Cyclones are 2-0-0-0 through the first two weeks of the season. Cincinnati has just four games in the month of October, however the schedule will start to pick up in November, with Cincinnati playing 13 games next month.

AHL Bound:Forward Andrew Yogan has been loaned to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). Yogan was a staple on the scoresheet in last Saturday’s season opener, dishing out three assists in Cincinnati’s 5-1 win over the Toledo Walleye. This marks the second time that the Coral Springs, FL, native has received a call-up during his time in his Cincinnati career, as he was called up by the San Antonio Rampage after four games and seven points (2g, 5a) last season.

Froese Makes NHL Debut: Former Cincinnati Cyclone forward Byron Froese (Pronounced Frayze) made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut on Saturday night for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Winkler, MAN, native logged 12:50 of ice time in Toronto’s 5-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Froese spent parts of the last two seasons with the Cyclones, accounting for 24 points (8g, 16a) in 17 games last season, and 21 points (11g, 10a) in 25 games in 2013-2014. Froese also had a stellar post season in 2013-2014, totaling eight goals and 17 assists in 23 playoff games, helping lead the Cyclones to Game 6 of the 2014 Kelly Cup Finals.
