HUARD RE-SIGNS WITH CYCLONES

Forward Comes Back to Cincinnati Following Stellar Rookie Season

Cincinnati, OH- Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald has announced that forward Nick Huard has signed a Standard Player Contract (SPC) for the 2016-2017 season. This season will mark his second full campaign with the Cyclones.

A native of North Bay, ONT, Huard is coming off an impactful rookie campaign with the Cyclones, ranking fourth on the team, and sixth in League rooking scoring with 52 points (21g, 31a) in 72 games played. The 25-year-old also saw tremendous success on the power play last season, leading the League in power play goals (15) and finishing tied for second in power play points (24).

“We are very happy to get Nick back with us this season,” said Macdonald. “He is a versatile young player that showed he has the ability to play different situations, and was used in many different roles for us as the season went on. We believe he can build off of the season he had last year, and can be an impact player for us in the 2016-2017 season.”

Huard accounted for point streaks of four or more games five times last season, including a pair of career-long six-game streaks from November 7-17, and February 10-20. He also enjoyed multi-point efforts on 14 different occasions, including career-high three point nights on December 4 (2g, 1a) and March 31 (1g, 2a).
