CYCLONES WELCOME BACK MULVEY

Forward Was A Key Piece in Second Half Run

 

Cincinnati, OH- Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald has announced that forward Colin Mulvey has signed a Standard Player Contract (SPC) for the 2016-2017 season. This will be the third stint in Cincinnati for the fifth-year pro.

Acquired in an early-February trade with the South Carolina Stingrays, Mulvey was an important piece to the Cyclones’ second-half puzzle, accounting for 20 points (8g, 12a) in 25 regular season games with Cincinnati, and two assists in seven playoff games. He appeared in 37 games with the Stingrays prior to the trade and totaled 22 points (11g, 11a).

The 5’9”, 160-pounder spent the 2014-15 season with the Erding Gladiators in Germany, where he totaled 52 points (29g, 23a) in 40 games played. In 2013-2014, Mulvey split time between the Wheeling Nailers and the Cyclones, skating in 38 games overall. In seven in Cincinnati that season he recorded a pair of goals and three assists.

He made is professional debut with the Ft. Worth Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) at the end of the 2012-2013 season, registering a pair of goals in nine playoff games.
