CYCLONES ADD FORWARD PAIR IN LATEST OFFSEASON SIGNINGS
Cincinnati Welcomes in Two Offensively-Minded Rookies
Cincinnati, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud ECHL affiliate of the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Rochester Americans and the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Buffalo Sabres, have signed rookie forwards Andrew Radjenovic and Dylan Denomme to Standard Player Contracts (SPC) for the 2017-18 season.
Radjenovic recently completed his collegiate career at Brock University, compiling 31 points (12g, 19a) in 25 games last season. The Hamilton, ON, native got a brief taste of professional hockey back in 2014-15 when he suited up for the ECHL’s Bakersfield Condors, accounting for five goals and three assists in 22 games.
“Andrew is coming to Cincinnati highly recommended after a solid career in CIS where he lead his teams in points his last two years,” remarked Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald. “He also has previous experience in the ECHL where he had success in the 22 games he played in Bakersfield. Andrew is a big kid that brings skill and offensive abilities to our team, and he has the versatility to play both wing and center.”
Prior to his time in Bakersfield, Radjenovic played three seasons at Brock where he netted 36 goals and dished out 26 assists in 82 games. His best season offensively came in 2014-15 where he accounted for 32 points (13g, 19a) in 26 games. He also served as an assistant captain that season.
“I’m happy to be headed to Cincinnati,” said Radjenovic. “I’m excited to get things going and make the most of my opportunity with the Cyclones.”
A native of Riverside, ON, Denomme spent the last three seasons at the University of Windsor where he accounted for 29 goals and 55 assists for 84 points, in 80 career games for the Lancers.
“We are happy to announce the signing of Dylan Denomme, said Macdonald. “He is coming to Cincinnati after an impressive college career where he was one of the top point producers at his school for all 3 years. He brings high end character to go along with his offensive abilities and we believe his game will translate well to the ECHL."
Prior to his collegiate days, Denomme appeared in 192 games with the LaSalle Vipers of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) where he totaled 113 goals and 121 assists for 234 total points. He also saw eight games of actions with the Nanaimo Clippers of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), accounting for a pair of assists in that time.
“This is a dream come true,” said Denomme. “I’ve worked my whole hockey career to get this chance, and I couldn’t be happier and more excited to start my pro career in a city like Cincinnati.”
