Cyclones Trade For Coomes

The Cincinnati Cyclones have traded forward Jackson Leef to the Tulsa Oilers in exchange for Logan Coomes. 

This trade is the second in as many days for the Cyclones, who acquired Joe Manchurek from Wichita on Tuesday. Both players will be available for Cincinnati's next game on Thursday against the Allen Americans.

  • First year playing in the ECHL after splitting the 2020-21 season between the SPHL and France. Skated in 29 games with Tulsa, netting seven goals while accumulating 18 points.
  • Began last season in Marseille of the France2 league, but did not play in a game. Jumped to SPHL-Macon for 38 games, scoring seven goals and adding 12 assists. Was teammates with Jason Tackett.   
  • Played four years of Division I hockey, mostly for Merrimack College. Spent senior season with University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Totalled 29 points across 102 collegiate games.
  • Won a Robertson Cup in 2016 during final year of junior eligibility with Fairbanks Ice Dogs (NAHL).
