'CLONES ACQUIRE FORMER REDHAWK BRAY CROWDER

The Cincinnati Cyclones have completed a trade with the Wichita Thunder, acquiring defenseman Bray Crowder and future considerations in exchange for the rights to forward Luc Brown.

Crowder, 24, has roots to the Buckeye State, having previously spent four seasons in a Miami University jersey. The 6'6" blue liner played nearly 100 games with the Redhawks from 2018-2022. He will join the Cyclones ahead of the team's upcoming home game Friday night against Fort Wayne.

  • Began his professional playing career earlier this season with Wichita, skating in nine games with the Thunder.
     
  • Finished collegiate tenure at Miami of Ohio University last season, skating in 15 games for the RedHawks. Majored in Marketing. 
  • Collectively earned three goals and 15 points over 95 NCAA games. 
  • Played junior hockey in four different leagues (OJHL, GOJHL, NAHL, USHL) from 2014-2018. Last year of juniors was spent with USHL-Muskegon, where Crowden registered five goals, 19 points, and 52 penalty minutes in 55 games.  
  • Belongs to the Crowder hockey family tree. Father, Troy, was drafted by the New Jersey Devils and played 150 NHL games over the course of a decade-long pro career. His grandfather (Brian), along with uncles Jeff and Ted Scharf also played professionally for various leagues, including the CHL, WHA, and AHL.
