CYCLONES SWAP PLAYERS WITH AMERKS AHEAD OF BUSY WEEKEND

Before playing three games Friday-Sunday, the Cyclones have made a trio of roster moves. Defenseman Zach Berzolla has been recalled to the Rochester Americans and  forward Kohen Olischefski has been reassigned to Cincinnati from Rochester. Additionally, the Cyclones have signed defenseman Kyler Matthews.

Berzolla, 24, gets his second recall to the AHL this season, having already skated in four games for Cincinnati's AHL affiliate. With the Americans, Berzolla collected a goal and was +2 in four games. Through 11 games as a Cyclone, the Howell, New Jersey native has posted five assists and is +1.

Olischefski, 24, returns to The Queen City after spending a month with Rochester. During that stretch, the rookie center played in three games. Prior to his call-up, Olischefski dressed for seven Cyclones games, netting a goal and three assists. The Cyclones are 6-0-0-1 when Olischefski is in the lineup. 

Matthews, 25, joined the 'Clones during the team's training camp, skating in two exhibition games. Following camp, the blue liner went to SPHL-Knoxville, where he accumulated two goals and nine points through 16 games. Matthews spent all of last season in the SPHL, earning 12 points and 97 penalty minutes through 56 games in Knoxville. The Alliston, Ontario native played two seasons collegiately for SUNY-Canton at the NCAA-D3 level.

The Cyclones host Fort Wayne Friday at Heritage Bank Center for Star Wars Night.
