MACLEAN SIGNS FIRST PRO CONTRACT WITH CYCLONES

The Cincinnati Cyclones have signed rookie defenseman Steven MacLean to a Standard Player Contract. MacLean is expected to make his professional debut Wednesday night when the Cyclones host Norfolk.

MacLean, 24, joins Cincinnati in the midst of his college season at Wilfrid Laurier University, where the blue liner collected seven assists in 27 games.

  • Has three seasons and 65 collegiate games played for WLU (USports), totaling three goals and 15 points with just 14 penalty minutes. 
  • Was an Academic All-Canadian for the 2019-20 season. 
  • Former captain of the Aurora Tigers in the OJHL during 2018-19 season. Scored six goals and posted 28 points across 53 games. Played three seasons in Aurora, skating in 158 games.
