Cyclones forward Zack Andrusiak has been called-up and has signed a Professional Try-out (PTO) agreement with the Manitoba Moose in the AHL.
Andrusiak, 24, is Cincinnati's leading scorer, posting 24 goals and 58 points through his 48 games played this season. The fourth-year pro was originally acquired from ECHL-Idaho last season and has since collected 103 points (44 goals, 59 assists) in 82 games with the Cyclones. Andrusiak was recently recognized as the ECHL Inglasco Player of the Week for February 20-25.
"Zack is a tremendous player who we couldn't be happier for," said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Jason Payne. "He works so hard to achieve the results we've seen him produce this year, and that work ethic and compete level can translate to the next level. We look forward to watching Zack's continued growth as he gets this opportunity with Manitoba."
Manitoba is in action next on Tuesday when they visit Abbotsford, who are also connected to the Cyclones with Yushiroh Hirano being a member of that team. Andrusiak becomes the seventh player on the Cyclones roster this season to have earned a call-up to the AHL. This will be the second time the Yorkton, Saskatchewan native career has signed a PTO in the AHL, having done so last season with Tucson where he appeared in two games in March.
