CYCLONES DROP OVERTIME THRILLER TO WALLEYE

Cincinnati, OH- The Cyclones lost back-to-back contests against the Toledo Walleye with a 6-5 overtime loss on Saturday night at Heritage Bank Center.

* Cincinnati came out strong in the first period with goals from Lincoln Griffin, Luka Burzan and Patrick Polino. The period ended 3-1 after Orrin Centazzo scored just after the halfway mark of the first.

* Toledo added two more goals from Orrin Centazzo, giving him the natural hat trick with three straight goals for Toledo to even the game. Brandon Hawkins picked up his team leading 27th point with an assist on Toledo’s third goal.

* The Cyclones fell behind 5-3 in the first half of the third period with goals from Antti Tuomisto and Conlan Keenan. Cincinnati answered with a Jalen Smereck shot from the left circle. Tim Doherty would go on to score his first as a Cyclone with under two minutes left to play, evening the score at 5-5.

* Kirill Tyutyayev scored in overtime from the right dot to give Toledo the extra point.

Next up, the ‘Clones hit the road for a Sunday matinee with the Kalamazoo Wings. The Cyclones return home to Heritage Bank Center on Wednesday December 13th as they take on the Utah Grizzlies for the first time this season.
