NAILERS TAKEDOWN THE CYCLONES IN CINCY

CINCINNATI, OH – The Cyclones fell 4-2 against the Nailers on home ice at the Heritage Bank Center. Cincy moves to 1-3-0-0 in the season series despite outshooting Wheeling 37-33.

* The Nailers converted on the powerplay with just over six minutes remaining in the first off a Lukas Svejkovsky rush. Wheeling doubled the lead from a shorthanded marker with a two-on-one rush that Jordan Frasca converted on.

* Sahil Panwar got the Cyclones on the board in the final two minutes of the 2nd period. Just 1:14 into the 3rd, Justin Vaive converted on a breakaway to knot the game 2-2. Wheeling responded with goals from Dillon Hamaliuk and Jordan Martel to take the 4-2 win.

Up next, Cincinnati travels to Toledo Saturday night December 22nd. The contest marks the final game before the Cyclones’ holiday break. Puck drop is slated for 7:15pm ET from the Huntington Center.
