Toledo, OH – The Cyclones fell on the road against the Walleye 5-2 inside the Huntington Center. Toledo is a perfect 3-0-0-0 against Cincinnati this season and has scored 17 goals over the three-game span.
* Walleye veteran Brandon Hawkins got the scoring started under seven minutes into the game on the man-advantage. Later in the first period, Toledo doubled the lead thanks to a Conlan Keenan shot from the slot.
* In the 2nd, Cincinnati got one back when Nick Isaacson sniped in a wrist shot from above the left circle to make it 2-1. Just over a minute after, Toledo regained its two-goal lead with a timing deflection from Sam Craggs. The Walleye expanded the lead to 5-1 in the middle frame with goals from Alexandre Doucet and Mitch Lewandowski.
* Sahil Panwar deflected in a Lincoln Griffin shot for the point for his 9th goal of the season in the third period and got the deficit to 5-2.
Up next after the holiday break, Cincinnati will back in action at the Huntington Center against Toledo for the second-straight game. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15pm ET on Wednesday December 27th.
