CYCLONES GRAB POINT AGAINST HEARTLANDERS

CINCINNATI, OH – The Cyclones lost in overtime 3-2 against the Heartlanders Saturday night inside the Heritage Bank Center. Cincinnati wraps up the regular season series at 4-3-2-0 against Iowa.

* Cincy opened the scoring early for the second-straight night. Just 2:09 into the game, Colton Kalezic fed Brandon Puricelli, who has goals in back-to-back games. Iowa had the response in the final two minutes of the period with a Dakota Raabe deflection.

* In the 2nd period, Iowa got its first lead of the night with another goal off a redirect. Yuki Miura collected his 9th of the year after tipping Adam Goodsir’s shot.

* Cincinnati drew even at 2-2 off an offensive zone faceoff win in the 3rd period. Sean Miller and Aaron Miller combined to assist on Nick Isaacson’s tap-in goal. The game went to overtime, where Dakota Raabe poked in the game-winner past Rylan Parenteau.

Up next, Cincinnati finishes its three-game homestand at the Heritage Bank Center. The Cyclones host the Maine Mariners Sunday February 25th with a 3:00pm ET puck drop.
