SCOOPS COME UP SHORT AGAINST WINGS

CINCINNATI, OH – The Cyclones fell 3-2 in OT to the Kalamazoo Wings Saturday night inside the Heritage Bank Center.

* After a scoreless opening period, Kalamazoo was finally able to get one past Pavel Cajan. Brad Morrison received a pass at the far dot and snapped up high for the 1-0 lead. Kalamazoo converted on the 5-on-3 powerplay just moments later to double the lead. Erik Bradford finished off a tight passing play, with Brad Morrison and Michael Joyaux collecting assists.

* In the 3rd period, the Cyclones offense came alive to tie the game 2-2 with a pair of goals in under a two-minute span. Patrick Polino cashed in from the high slot, with a shot that snuck past Jonathan Lemieux. Moments later in his first game with Cincinnati, Luke Santerno gathered in a rebound and poked it home from the blue paint.

 * During the 3-on-3 overtime frame, Kalamazoo’s Erik Bradford and Brad Morrison combined for the OT winner. Pavel Cajan finished with 40 impressive saves in the defeat.

Up next, Cincinnati hits the road to close out the weekend in Wheeling. The Cyclones and the Nailers drop the puck Sunday March 24th at 4:10pm ET.
