CYCLONES CAN’T KEEP UP AGAINST MAVERICKS

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Cyclones fell to the Mavericks 4-1 inside the Cable Dahmer Arena on Tuesday night. Cincinnati and Kansas City will play once more in the regular season series tomorrow night.

* After a scoreless 1st period, Elijah Gonsalves got the scoring started just two minutes into the middle frame. It was the rookie’s first professional goal and came off a tap-in from outside the blue paint. Moments later, Kansas City leading scorer Patrick Curry collected his 38th of the season with the Mavericks finally beating Olof Lindbom

* With the game tied 1-1 entering the 3rd period, the Mavericks grabbed their first lead of the game with three quick strikes. Jacob Hayhurst scored two power play goals, while Jeremy McKenna rocketed in another. KC skated away to the 4-1 victory. Olof Lindbom made 32 saves in the loss. Cale Morris picked up the win and stopped 26 Cincinnati shots.

Up next, Cincinnati continues its four-game road trip in the Mountain Division. The Cyclones and the Mavericks drop the puck Wednesday April 10th at 8:05pm ET in Kansas City.
