CYCLONES GET POINT IN OT LOSS

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Cyclones fell to the Mavericks 2-1 in overtime inside the Cable Dahmer Arena on Wednesday night. Cincinnati finishes the regular season series going 0-1-1-0 against the Brabham Cup winners.

* For the second-straight night, the Cyclones scored the opening goal against the best team in the ECHL. Mike Ferraro burst into the zone, fed a pass to Jarrett Lee, then got the puck back and one-timed a shot past Kansas City’s Cale Morris. Nick Isaacson dropped the mitts for the second time in as many days as the period concluded.

* After a scoreless 2nd period and numerous Talyn Boyko stops, Sahil Panwar was given a major penalty in the final ten minutes of the game. Patrick Curry placed in his 39th goal of the season in the opening minute of the five-minute power play. The Cyclones killed off the rest of the extended man-advantage and forced overtime.

* In OT, Jacob Hayhurst sniped a wrister over the shoulder of Boyko to give Kansas City the extra point.

Up next, Cincinnati concludes the road trip and the regular season. The Cyclones and the Nailers drop the puck Satuday April 13th at 7:00pm ET in Wheeling.
