CINCINNATI, OH – The Cyclones received forward Dante Sheriff from the Oilers today in exchange for defenseman Jack Clement and the rights to forward Kieran Craig. With Tulsa last season, the forward skated in 62 games and posted 49 points (18g, 31a).
The 25-year-old has played two seasons with Tulsa and racked up 79 points when skating in 113 regular season contests. Last year, the Woodbridge, Ontario native potted five man-advantage markers and two game-winning goals. In five games in his career against Cincinnati, Sheriff recorded five points.
Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Payne says Sheriff is a “shifty player with high offensive capabilities. He can make plays and put the puck in the net.”
Prior to turning pro, the righty skated two years with Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dante played 52 games for the Lakers and scored 42 points (13g, 29a). In the NAHL for his junior career, Sheriff was named forward of the year and MVP for the 2019-2020 season when he racked up 62 points with the Austin Bruins.
