NICK ISAACSON BRINGS TOUGHNESS TO 'CLONES

CINCINNATI, OH – The Cincinnati Cyclones announced today the signing of forward Nick Isaacson ahead of the 2024-25 season. Nick joined Cincinnati mid-season last year after he was traded from the Jacksonville Icemen.

Isaacson played the first five games of the 2023-24 campaign with Jacksonville before he was moved to Cincy in exchange for future considerations on November 21st. The Oakville, Ontario native finished with 26 points (12g, 14a) between the Icemen and the Cyclones.

The forward is looking excited to be playing with some top-end Toronto prospects this season. “That’s one of the reasons I wanted to come back”, said Isaacson. “It was a tough year last year, we didn’t have a great season, but I think we’re going to have a lot of great guys coming back. I think it’s going to elevate my game a little and help me get to that next level."

Nick racked up 90 penalty minutes on the year and paced Cincinnati with six fighting majors. He dropped the gloves and scored a goal in his Cyclones debut against Indy last November.

Fighting is a big part of my game. It helps add a little consistency to my game as well. If I can bring a little more physicality or fight or do something like that, it gets me into the game more and provides something else other than scoring or making plays which I try to do as well.”

The 25-year-old is entering his fourth year as a professional and has seen time with three other ECHL teams: South Carolina, Maine and Jacksonville. Isaacson also skated in three AHL contests on a loan with the Hershey Bears in 2022.

Prior to turning pro, the lefty shooter played one season with the University of Guelph in USports and five OHL years between Peterborough and Mississauga.
