CYCLONES ACQUIRE BROCK CAUFIELD VIA TRADE WITH ROYALS

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones today announced that the team has acquired forward Brock Caufield from the Reading Royals in exchange for cash considerations.

Caufield, 26, will join his third ECHL franchise after starting the season with the Reading Royals and beginning his professional career with the Newfoundland Growlers in 2023-24. In 38 games with the Royals this season, Caufield has recorded six goals and four assists with his previous hockey club. 

Prior to his professional career, Caufield was a member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers for five seasons. During the 2021-22 season, Caufield sported the assistant captain’s “A” on his jersey. He would go on to appear in 172 collegiate contests with the Badgers, recording 33 goals and 41 assists. In addition to his 74 points, his career also included the 2020-21 Big Ten Regular Season championship. 

The Stevens Point, Wisconsin native has 101 ECHL games under his belt. In addition, Brock comes from a hockey family, with his younger brother Cole currently playing for the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League.
