Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones today announced the signing of defenseman Andrew Noel from Ferris State University. The 24-year-old defenseman joins the Cyclones after spending his last three seasons playing at the NCAA level.
A native of Maynard, Massachusetts, Noel is most recently coming off his junior season with the Ferris State Bulldogs (NCAA DI) where he appeared in 30 games along the blueline. The left-handed defenseman appeared in 89 total games before making the leap to professional hockey with the Cincinnati Cyclones.
“We are excited to welcome Andrew to the Cincinnati Cyclones,” said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Payne. “Andrew adds depth to our blue line, and we are confident that his consistent play in college will translate well at the pro game as we make a push for the postseason.”
In 89 games with Ferris State, Noel recorded four goals and eight assists as a member of the Bulldogs. Prior to his collegiate days, Noel spent a season with Maine Nordiques of the NAHL where he served as the team assistant captain. The following year, he moved to the BCHL where he anchored the defense of the Nanaimo Clippers to an appearance in the Fred Page Cup Finals in 2021-22.
