PATRICK POLINO RETURNS TO THE CYCLONES IN A TRADE WITH RAPID CITY

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones today announced the acquisition of Patrick Polino in a trade with the Rapid City Rush. The Cyclones acquired Polino in exchange for future considerations at the end of the 2024-25 season.

Polino, 29, returns to Cincinnati for his second stint with the organization after beginning the 2024-25 season with the Adirondack Thunder. On Aug. 29, 2024, Polino’s ECHL rights were originally traded to Adirondack in exchange for Tristan Ashbrook. In 55 games played this season, Polino has five goals and 19 assists between his tenures with Adirondack, Allen, and Rapid City. Cincinnati will be his fourth stop this season.

“We are excited to welcome Pat back to the Cyclones,” said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Payne. “We know what he can bring to this hockey team and we’re confident that he will contribute to our lineup during a critical stretch of the season like he has in the past.”

In his previous stint with Cincinnati, Polino played three seasons and wore the assistant captain’s “A” on his chest for two of those years. The Buffalo native appeared in 170 games, totaling 54 goals and 82 assists for the Cyclones during his three-year tenure. Additionally, Polino has seven points in two postseason appearances with Cincinnati.
