CYCLONES FALL TO WALLEYE 3-2 ON SUNDAY NIGHT
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones fell to the Toledo Walleye, 3-2, on Sunday night at the Huntington Center. A third period tally from Riley McCourt stood as the game-winning goal for the division-leading Walleye.
- After a scoreless first period, Toledo would finally solve Kyle McClellan with a screened shot into the upper corner from Tanner Dickinson. His 12th of the season made it 1-0 Toledo just 6:25 into the middle period.
- Cincinnati would tie the game following Lincoln Griffin’s seventh goal of the season. Jordan Kaplan and Ben King extended their point streaks with assists on Griffin’s tying goal. With the assists, King extends his streak to four and Kaplan goes to three.
- Griffin recorded his first goal since Dec. 6, 2025 at Indy, snapping a 15-game skid without recording a goal for Cincinnati.
- Tanner Dickinson would get another quickly after the tying goal. His second goal of the game and 13th of the season gave Toledo a 2-1 advantage heading into the final period.
- Elijah Vilio would tie the game just 41 seconds into the third period. His seventh of the season was assisted by John Jaworski. Vilio extends his point streak to four games, and he has points in five of his last six appearances.
- Riley McCourt would score the eventual game-winning goal at the 10:25 mark of the final frame. His fifth of the 2025-26 season handed Cincinnati the loss, with Cincinnati dropping to 17-16-3-0 this season.
The Cyclones return to Heritage Bank Center on Friday night against the Fort Wayne Komets. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. ET and can be streamed on FloHockey and the Cyclones Radio Network.
