SIMON LABELLE CHOOSES CINCINNATI, JOINS AHEAD OF FIRST FULL PROFESSIONAL SEASON
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, today announced that forward Simon Labelle has signed with the team ahead of the 2026-27 season. With his signing, Labelle will play in his first full professional season with the Cyclones.
Labelle, 24, is coming off 12 appearances with the Jacksonville Iceman to end the 2025-26 campaign. The Ottawa, Ontario native recorded two assists to start his professional career with the South Division club. Before he joined Cincinnati, he led Colgate University in goals (13) and points (28) in his final season. Labelle recorded 83 total career points (25g, 58a) over the course of his four collegiate seasons with the Raiders.
At the junior level, he spent time in the BCHL and CCHL while also recording a handful of appearances in the NAHL. Labelle spent two seasons with the Rockland Nationals (CCHL) before playing four games with the New Jersey Junior Titans (NAHL) in 2020-21. He then finished his junior career with the Prince George Spruce Kings (BCHL) in 2021-22. Over his four year junior career, he recorded 53 goals and 93 assists (146 points) in a total of 180 career games.
